AI chip demand keeps breaking records

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company reported a 77% jump in profit, driven largely by demand for AI chips powering models and data centers worldwide. Even with concerns about a slowdown in AI spending, demand for computing power remains extremely strong. Why it matters: The companies building the AI infrastructure are currently benefiting as much as, or even more than, the companies building the AI models themselves.
